Brodie Grundy

Strong performance in loss
RCollingwood Magpies
August 8, 2021
Grundy scored one goal to go with 16 disposals (nine kicks, seven handballs) while also making 31 hitouts, taking six marks and completing six tackles during Sunday's 97-78 loss to Hawthorn.
ANALYSIS
This stat line looks more gaudy than it turned out to be, but it still proves that Grundy has found his game late in the season. Keep an eye on him if the price can be managed, though his current form means it shouldn't be hard to expect another reliable performance.

Strong effort in win
RCollingwood Magpies
August 1, 2021
Grundy scored one goal to go with 22 disposals (11 kicks, 11 handballs) in addition to recording 10 marks, six tackles and 18 hitouts during Saturday's 90-45 win over West Coast in Round 20.
ANALYSIS
Grundy has struggled for consistency since mid-May but his scoring ceiling still makes him one of the top options in his position. With at least 22 disposals recorded in two straight games, Grundy could be on the track for more consistent outputs over the final weeks of the season.

July 11, 2021
Grundy scored one goal and one behind to go with 22 disposals (12 kicks, 10 handballs) and made 40 hitouts during Sunday's 87-71 win over Richmond in Round 17.
ANALYSIS
Grundy also recorded five marks and five tackles during this game as he easily won his positional matchup. He's scored over 100 points in alternating games over the last seven rounds, but if the Magpies can keep Grundy playing this well, his place as one of the top rucks in the league will remain a guarantee instead of an expectation not always met.

June 26, 2021
Grundy scored two goals to go with 22 disposals (eight kicks, 14 handballs), made seven mars and recorded 27 hitouts during Saturday's 91-79 loss to Fremantle in Round 15.
ANALYSIS
Grundy didn't seem to be affected by a recent neck injury and won his matchup against Sean Darcy in just about every facet of the game. This is a good sign for Grundy as one of the league's best rucks both in fantasy and on the pitch, so his name will likely pop up among the top scorers each week as long as he's fit.

June 22, 2021
Grundy (neck) has been cleared to play in Round 15 against Fremantle.
ANALYSIS
Grundy missed two games and all of June so far after hurting his neck against Geelong. He was also lucky to avoid serious damage after getting sent to the hospital for scans, so Grundy's return to the field will be a welcome site. Until his injury, Grundy was one of the top-scoring rucks in fantasy with over 100 points scored in five of his last seven games. He and the in-form Sean Darcy should be a fun matchup to watch as the second half of the season gets going.
Slated to miss several weeks

May 30, 2021
Grundy (neck) will be sidelined for 2-to-3 weeks.
ANALYSIS
Grundy suffered a neck injury during Saturday's Round 11 loss to Geelong, but precautionary scans indicated that he avoided a serious neck injury. Grundy is expected to see a specialist in the near future to determine a more exact timetable for his return.
