July 1, 2021
Ainsworth scored one goal and four behinds to go with 20 disposals (16 kicks, four handballs) in addition to making eight marks during Thursday's 77-67 win over Richmond in Round 16.
ANALYSIS
Ainsworth has only scored eight goals in 10 games this season but some solid disposal and mark tallies can give him big games on occasion. Someone like David Swallow may offer more reliable value, though Ainsworth can also step up in the right scenario.

Bags three in win
FGold Coast Suns
April 24, 2021
Ainsworth scored three goals and one behind to go with 20 disposals (14 kicks, six handballs) and nine marks made during Saturday's 100-60 win over Sydney.
ANALYSIS
Ainsworth finally hit 20 disposals in a match and also set a season-high for marks made in a game. If he can put up a similar stat line in the next couple of rounds, there will be more to Ainsworth than just a role-playing attacker for the purposes of fantasy.
Likely Replacement for Rowell (PCL)
FGold Coast Suns
Calf
March 23, 2021
Ainsworth appears the most likely candidate to replace injured midfielder Matt Rowell (PCL) heading into the Suns' Saturday match-up with North Melbourne, the Australian Broadcast Company reports.
ANALYSIS
Melbourne missed the Suns' Round One tilt versus West Coast due to a tight hamstring, but should see plenty of opportunity against North Melbourne playing in place of the injured Rowell. The 23 year-old is coming off a 2020 season in which he averaged 16.8 disposals (11.1 effective), 9.2 kicks, 7.6 handballs, 4.1 marks, 1.8 clearances and 1.6 tackles per outing.

March 20, 2021
Ainsworth wasn't named in the lineup for Round 1 against West Coast due to calf tightness.
ANALYSIS
Ainsworth was a late scratch for Round 1 and should be back relatively soon as long as he hasn't strained anything.

Ainsworth missed the previous tilt due to an illness but appears to be over the issue and he will retake his spot among the 22. He's set to serve as a half forward alongside Ben King and Josh Corbett.

Illness
September 13, 2020
Ainsworth won't play Monday against Collingwood due to an illness.
ANALYSIS
Ainsworth had one of his best performances of the season against North Melbourne, but he won't be able to play Monday. Whether he'll be ready for the final game of the regular season Sunday remains to be seen. He'll be replaced by Nick Holman in the lineup.
