Shoulder
July 20, 2021
Flynn will return to Sydney to have his dislocated shoulder assessed and is expected to need surgery, according to Head of Medical Cullan Ball. "His shoulder went back in the first time but after it happened again we expected it probably wouldn't be one we could manage for the rest of the season.
ANALYSIS
Flynn may have a hard time returning before the season is over after his shoulder popped out again. With Flynn out, the ruck depth chart is awfully thin for the Giants.

Shoulder
July 18, 2021
Flynn exited Sunday's 98-72 loss to Sydney not once, but twice, this after appearing to suffer multiple shoulder dislocations, The Age reports.
ANALYSIS
Flynn joined teammate Josh Kelly on the sideline of Metricon Stadium after twice dislocating his shoulder following a collision with Sydney's Tom Hickey on a centre bounce, leaving Jeremy Finlayson and Zachary Sproule, who subbed in for Kelly, to shift over to ruck. No word yet on whether or not the 23 year-old will be available for a Round 19 match-up with Essendon.
Big effort in loss
RGreater Western Sydney Giants
May 15, 2021
Flynn scored one behind to go with 12 disposals (seven kicks, five handballs), nine tackles made and 30 hitouts recorded during Saturday's 87-83 loss to Richmond.
ANALYSIS
Flynn and Toby Nankervis went wire-to-wire in their ruck battle and Flynn led in hitouts by a single effort though the final score was eventually lost. Through five appearances, Flynn has now logged a respectable 13 disposals and 25.6 hitouts, so look out for his name in the right situation as an alternate to the traditional stars in his position.
Returning to practice match
RGreater Western Sydney Giants
July 2, 2020
Flynn (knee) will return to action in a practice match Sunday versus Hawthorn.
ANALYSIS
Flynn's return to the field marks his first action in more than a year, so he likely needs some time to get back into game shape. Even when the 22-year-old ruck is ready for selection, he's still awaiting his debut on the AFL side and has no clear date to that.
