Edey's name is listed among the many early entry candidates for the NBA Draft coming up in June, which means he has officially declared for the draft. The Purdue center finished out the 2023-24 season as the Naismith Player of the Year and AP National Player of the Year, averaging 25.2 points, 12.2 rebounds and 2.2 blocks across the stretch. The 7-foot-4 big man also led his team to the NCAA Championship Game where the Boilermakers fell short, but his 37 points and 10 rebounds in that 75-60 loss and overall tournament performance will likely continue to add to his stock in the NBA Draft. Though some questions continue to come up about his ability to transfer his size to successfully compete in the NBA, the Canada-native should still get enough attention to not want to return for his remaining year of eligibility due to COVID-19.
