Looking to restart fighting career

Hardy confirmed that the UFC granted him his release from the promotion Tuesday, Damon Martin and Steven Marrocco of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hardy had been under contract with the UFC for the past 13 years, even though he hasn't fought competitively since 2012. After retiring that same year due to a heart condition, Hardy announced in 2018 that he was cleared to compete again, but he never joined the pool of active fighters and continued with the UFC in a broadcasting role. Now that he's been formally released from the promotion, the 38-year-old welterweight is apparently serious about rebooting his fighting career. Hardy previously mentioned the ONE Championship or RIZIN promotions as possible new landing spots.

Dan Hardy: Looking To Make Comeback
WelterweightOther
July 8, 2015
Hardy is hoping to make a return to the octagon and he is willing to go through a full training camp in order to prove that he is physically fit, MMAFighting.com's Ariel Helwani reports.
ANALYSIS
Interesting. Hardy has been working at the play-by-play man alongside John Gooden for the UFC European events on Fight Pass. He hasn't fought in the UFC since September 2012. It's a long shot that we'll see Hardy in the octagon again, but he appears to keep himself in great shape and he seems committed to the comeback attempt.
