Trocoli will replace Rodolfo Bellato and take on Oumar Sy in a light heavyweight bout at UFC Vegas 92 on May 18, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Trocoli was dropped by the UFC in December of 2022, but is now slated to make his return to the promotion. He'll have to do it on short notice, and he'll face a fighter making his UFC debut in Sy, who has a 9-0 record as a professional MMA fighter. Trocoli, meanwhile, hasn't fought since 2021, when he bested Reslley Isael in a Brazilian Fighting Series bout.

Trocoli has been released by the UFC following his withdrawal from UFC 282, Guilherme Cruz of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
It's been a brief and troubled stint in the UFC for Trocolo, who earned a contract on contender Series in July of 2019 but was dropped after failing a pre-fight drug test. He went on to serve a suspension before the company gave him another chance, but visa issues ended up canceling the bout. That was apparently the last straw, at least for the time being. He'll likely look to work his way back after getting his bearings in another promotion.

ANALYSIS

Trocoli (foot) was released from the UFC this week after news surfaced that he failed a pre-fight drug test administered before his July 9 fight against Kenneth Bergh, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Trocoli was able to pick up a UFC contract on Dana White's Contender series after submitting Bergh via neck crank, but his time in the UFC will end before a fight is even officially scheduled. When asked about the situation on Tuesday's telecast, UFC President Dana White relayed that "He shouldn't be using anywhere for any reason." On top of rehabbing a broken foot, Trocoli could now be subject to disciplinary actions from USADA. He tested positive for the substance nandrolone, which is qualified as an anabolic steroid. While his team intends to test his supplements for contamination, there's an uphill battle ahead for the 28-year-old combatant. It's unclear at this time if the UFC will give Bergh another shot on the Contender Series.
