Lakers Control In Easy Win Over Raptors
The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Toronto Raptors, 128-111, at Scotiabank Arena on Tuesday.

The Lakers (43-33) enjoyed a solid start and didn’t have problems to get past the Raptors (23-52) despite playing on the road. Los Angeles established its terms early on and raced to a 34-25 lead following the first quarter. The Raptors reduced the deficit to just six points following a 33-30 score in the second quarter, but that wouldn’t be enough to mount a comeback. Los Angeles responded with a 36-21 score in the third quarter and that’d be enough to seal the deal. Even though the Raptors put up some points on the board in the fourth quarter, they were nowhere near to turn things around. With the win, the Lakers improved to 16-21 on the road and now are a season-high 10 games above the .500 mark. Meanwhile, the Raptors extended their losing streak to 14 games while falling to 13-26 at home.

D’Angelo Russell led the Lakers in scoring with a 25-point effort that also included seven assists. LeBron James had 23 points, nine assists and four rebounds. Anthony Davis finished with a 21-point, 12-rebound double-double. Rui Hachimura finished with 14 points, four rebounds and four assists. Max Christie added 12 points off the bench. The Lakers shot 51.5 percent from the field and 43.9 percent from three-point range.

RJ Barrett led the Raptors with 28 points in his return to action, adding six rebounds and six assists. Immanuel Quickley finished with 20 points and six assists. Kelly Olynyk ended with 14 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Gradey Dick posted 14 points. The Raptors shot 48.3 percent from the field and 31.3 percent from three-point range.
